How are you different from discount cleaners?
We are a full-service dry cleaner that makes every effort to return your garments to you in ‘like new’ condition through a comprehensive set of cleaning, spotting and restoration techniques. We offer spot and stain removal, lint removal, button protection, loose button repair, shirt button and collar stay replacement, shirt folding, sizing, custom packaging, and special care as part of the cleaning price. In addition, we also take extra care with your clothes by using padded hangers, shoulder guards, acid-free tissue paper, and other protective measures when required. Many discount cleaners do not include these services as part of their cleaning price, and you may find that a discount cleaner will return your clothes with spots or stains or charge you a separate fee for their removal. We also invest in the latest technology and equipment, provide ongoing training for our employees, and use the highest-quality environmentally-friendly cleaning products to ensure we have the knowledge, experience, and resources available to professionally care for your garments from check-in to final delivery.
What programs do you have in place to help protect the environment?
We use only all-natural drycleaning solvent and other environmentally-friendly cleaning, spotting, and restoring product and practices that leave no residual odor and generate no waste. Many drycleaners use perchloroethylene, a highly-regulated and potentially-dangerous chemical to clean clothing. ‘Perc’, as it is more commonly known, can cause both natural and synthetic fabrics to stretch, tear, discolor, dry rot, and even dissolve and is classified as a hazardous waste product and a probable carcinogen by the EPA.
In addition, we have had a number of environmentally-conscious programs such as hanger and plastic bag recycling in place for over 25 years, and we are committed to such environmentally-conscious initiatives as the use of new, energy-efficient equipment and industry-leading ‘green’ cleaning and restoration technologies; closed-loop dry cleaning solvent reclamation, filtration, and re-use; and on-site wastewater treatment that ensure our environment is protected for future generations. Our employees also participate in cutting-edge training and certification programs to ensure all operations are consistent with the company’s environmental mission.
What does it mean to be a Certified Professional Drycleaner and a Certified Environmental Drycleaner?
The Drycleaning & Laundry Institute’s Certified Environmental Drycleaner and Certified Professional Drycleaner certifications are the highest designations a dry cleaner can receive. These certifications are awarded to a very small percentage of dry cleaners that meet stringent requirements, exceed industry standards for knowledge and professionalism, and participate in on-going training and recertification programs. As such, these certifications provide validation of and recognition for professional qualifications and environmentally-sound dry cleaning procedures.
Why is it important for Dun-Rite Cleaners to be a member of industry associations?
Our membership in and certification by leading cleaning and restoration industry associations means we adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and commit to continuing education and training to better serve you. We work hard every day to meet and exceed the rigorous membership and certification requirements and earn the trust of our customers.
What are your prices?
Our cleaning and restoration services are priced competitively, and there are never any hidden charges. For specific pricing information, please call (704) 982-3511 and ask to speak with one of our customer service representatives.
What if I have questions about how my garments will be cleaned or have any special requests?
Unless specified otherwise, we clean garments according to the manufacturer’s care label to ensure each garment receives the recommended cleaning and finishing treatments to preserve the fiber integrity, color, shape, any embellishments, and overall appearance. Our customer service representatives and processing staff are highly trained and experienced in garment and fabric care and can answer any questions you may have about the cleaning process and can offer tips on how to properly care for and store your garments and textiles.
Our customer service representatives will also inspect your garments for any spots or stains, holes or tears, necessary repairs, and/or embellishments such as beads or sequins to ensure your garments receive the proper pre-spotting, cleaning, and repairs. They will also ask if you have any special requests including no additional charge rush service or custom finishing and packaging. If you have any other requests or concerns, please let your customer service representative know.
What if I am not satisfied with your cleaning services?
We are not satisfied until you are satisfied with the services we have provided. We will happily re-clean, re-spot, re-press, re-package, and/or repair your garments at no charge the same or next day if we have failed to meet or exceed your expectations. If a garment is unable to be satisfactorily cleaned or is damaged beyond repair during the cleaning process, we will work with you to come to a satisfactory and fair resolution. We truly value your business and work hard every day to be your dry cleaner of choice.
